Rigvedaऋग्वेद · The Hymns of the Rigveda

The oldest of the four Vedas: 1028 hymns in ten books (mandalas), addressed to Agni, Indra, Soma, Varuna and the other gods. Each hymn is shown with the Sanskrit beside Ralph T. H. Griffith’s English translation of 1896.

Public domain. Griffith’s translation was published in 1889–92 and revised in 1896; Griffith died in 1906. The Sanskrit is the ancient text. Sanskrit is shown for 1028 of 1028 hymns; where a hymn has no Sanskrit page on Wikisource, the English stands alone and says so.
